He fought with lots of pain, especially since his birthday.
but he was in peace when he’s gone.
I will take his ashes to Hong Kong the place he loves, he wanted to be…

Noah Passed away….Found this while typing this entry and searching in his website for a set of watch hands

Very sad news for all of us who some time dealt with him…goes this entry as a small tribute in his memory.

SPACEMAN – OVAL AZUL

FECHADOR SENCILLO VS FECHADOR DOBLE

..cabezazos todavia me estoy dando

SPACEMAN – OVAL BLUE

The Spaceman Oval in Navy Blue,  is another variant of the saga  without a doubt,  very stylish and attractive,

Perhaps the most photogenic of them all.

Its Correct configuration is Monochrome with fiberglass Black case

Dark blue corfam strap , Blue helmet, and of course the dial must be in Blue.

As all without dater, or  with simple or double day-dater,

as always depending on the year and manufacturer,

comes in two flavours,   with mechanical or automatic movements.

Due to various manufacturers that marketed these models

intensity and shades of blue may  vary from watch to watch, this for example

given the light has an almost gray look

The ALTERNATE DIAL

Also there were alternative versions with blue dial as seen in other models

in the example photos,

A very rare model with double vertical Dater, and a slightly Violet tone

and other models with quick set date in the crown and  single round  window

Note the unusual Seconds hand in  all alternative models

which is different from the conventional oval Spaceman

The Blue Spaceman could be signed by different manufacturers

In the gallery examples of a  JUPITER model, a SENATOR

and a TRESSA LUX  from the collection of Takeshi (Japan) to name a few.

Of The Spaceman Blue I Currently have a Couple of  units :

A conventional blue  Automatic Single date From Catena

and Another One that is the rarest i have ever seen, so rare that its my favourite of my collection

Observe the Engraved oval  helmet  with that curious silouette,

certainly as rare or more, than the older green unit in my collection with the somewhat

similar striated helmet  that we saw earlier,

and the sky blue strap is original but with a totally unusual color

It is without doubt one of the rarest Oval Spaceman I have and in addition to it,

also its a  manual Handwind.

more than likely  to be a spaceman “custom made”

These watches became so famous and “chic” among some Hollywood actors in the 70s

some ordered special configurations and few where customized to suit the client wish.

This is another of those “atypical” units  and that I let go back in the day by a whisker..

Headers .. I’m still giving myself..

Apparently, there were also units of this type with the Golden helmet

Behold this very rare unit with oval gold is a blue spaceman however the inner surrounds

and the Corfam  belt are brown,  possibly to match the golden surrounds

certainly very unusual, apart from the aforementioned differences

note in the  alternative dial  the white rounded dater,

and the White fiberglass case ..

blue models always sported a black fiberglass case

so a spaceman franken….. or  a model  “a la carte “…??.. who knows..

certainly a rare unit it will take a while to return to see … if I ever see one like that again ..sigh

I leave you with a exploded  view of a blue model disassembly in the gallery,

enjoy!.
