A finales de los 70,
con la crisis del cuarzo yema cesó su produccion.

Aunque En El Año 1.988 fue usado un reloj creado por la sociedad Francesa Yema, para Jean Loup Chrètien para ser utilizado en la misión Franco – Soviética Aragatz. Estába realizado totalmente en titanio y se denomino al modelo » Espacionauta III «.

esto relanzo el interés por la marca.

Some history of the Brand:

In the late 70’s with the quartz crisis Yema ceased production.

But In The Year 1988 the brand made a major comeback

a watch created by the French company Yema, Jean Loup Chretien was to be used in the mission Franco – Soviet Aragatz.
Was made entirely of titanium and is called the model «astronaut III.»

This revived the interest in the brand.

Brief chronology

Creation of the house  of Yema in 1948 by Henri Yema Louis BELMONT.

1950 – shows the first anti-shock watches
1953 – Creating of their first diver
1956 – First Sub-Marine Chronograph
1957 – launches its range of chronographs
1958 – Oscar for export
1960 – 300.000 watches sold each year
1963 –  Creation of the model  SUPERMAN 300 meters dive, with great commercial success
1967 – Becomes Major French watch exporters brand
1968 – launches the YACHTINGRAF model (SAIL models)
1969 –  500.000 watches sold in 50 countries
1970 – Founding of the RALLYGRAF and FLYGRAF
1974 – Launch of the first quartz line of watches
1975 – The FAIRCHILD, Yema  launches its first LED Model
1979 – End of production.

Relaunch:
1982 – Creation of a Watch for use in space by  Jean-Loup Chrétien, the first French astronaut
